1. Terms of Use

1.1 What Trading Mirror is

Trading Mirror is a post-trade review and journaling tool. It imports trades you have already executed with your broker, groups them into trade episodes, and shows statistics, grades and behavioural patterns computed from those trades, together with general market context. It is currently an invite-only beta: features may change, break or be withdrawn.

1.2 Not investment advice

TraderJourney is not registered with SEBI as an investment adviser, research analyst or stock broker. Nothing in Trading Mirror — including grades, patterns, market summaries, directional views, strike-level commentary, screeners, AI-generated text or any other content — is investment advice, a research report, or a recommendation or solicitation to buy, sell or hold any security or derivative. Content is general and informational, is not tailored to your financial situation, and may be incomplete, delayed or wrong. You are solely responsible for your trading decisions. Consult a SEBI-registered intermediary before investing.

1.3 Orders

Trading Mirror does not decide or place trades for you. Where the optional GTT feature is enabled for your account, an order is sent to your broker only after you review and confirm it, using your own broker session. You are responsible for every order you confirm and for checking its status with your broker.

1.4 Eligibility and your account

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract under Indian law. Keep your login and broker API credentials confidential; you are responsible for activity under your account. Invite codes are personal and may not be resold.

1.5 Acceptable use

Don't attempt to access other users' data, probe or overload the service, scrape it, reverse-engineer it, or use it to redistribute market data or to publish investment recommendations to others. We may suspend accounts that do.

1.6 Data accuracy

Calculations depend on the files and broker data you provide and on third-party market data. Figures may differ from your broker's contract notes and tax statements (for example where charges are not disclosed). Always rely on your broker's official records for tax and accounting.

1.7 Beta, availability and liability

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, TraderJourney is not liable for any trading losses, lost profits, or indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

1.8 Pricing

The beta is currently free. If paid plans are introduced, prices and terms will be shown before you are charged, and you will not be billed without choosing a plan.

1.9 Changes and law

We may update these terms; material changes will be shown to you in the app for acceptance before you continue. These terms are governed by the laws of India.

2. Privacy Policy

2.1 What we collect

  • Account: username, a hashed password (we never store it in plain text), and — if you use Google sign-in — your verified email, Google account identifier, display name and profile picture. We do not receive access to your Gmail or Google Drive.
  • Trading data you provide: tradebook files, broker-synced executions, positions, charges, and the episodes, grades and statistics derived from them.
  • Your own content: journal notes, tags, conviction, screenshots and other attachments, watchlists, rules and preferences.
  • Broker connections (optional): your broker API key and secret and the daily session token, stored encrypted, used to read your trades and, only if you enable it, to place orders you confirm.
  • Technical data: login times, session records, and your browser user-agent when you accept these terms, for security and consent records.

2.2 How we use it

Only to provide the service to you: import and reconstruct your trades, compute analytics, show your journal, sync with your broker when you ask, secure your account, and fix problems. We do not sell your data, show it to other users, or use your trades or journal for advertising. We will not send you promotional email unless you separately opt in.

2.3 AI features

AI features run only when you request them. For that request, the relevant deterministic facts (for example statistics, episode details and journal text you choose to include) are sent to our AI provider on a paid plan whose terms say submitted content is not used to train their models. AI output is stored so you can see it again. You can turn AI features off in Settings.

Yui (Ask your trades). When you chat with Yui, we save each question you type and each answer, grouped into conversations, so you can continue a chat and read it again later. To answer, Yui looks up facts from your own trades and journal and sends them, with your question, to our AI provider for that request only. Saved chats are visible only to you and are included in your data download. They are kept until you delete them: you can delete any chat at any time from Yui's chat history, which erases its questions and answers immediately. Deleting your account removes access to them; to have them permanently erased along with your other records, write to [contact email — to be added] (see 2.6).

2.4 Where it is stored and who processes it

Data is stored on servers located in India and, for screenshots and original upload files, in a private cloud object store. We use a small number of service providers (hosting, object storage, AI, Google sign-in) who process data only on our behalf. Your broker receives requests you initiate through your own connection.

2.5 Cookies and local storage

We use strictly necessary cookies: a session cookie that keeps you signed in and a security (CSRF) token. Your browser also stores display preferences such as theme. We don't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

2.6 Retention and deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. You can download a full copy of your data at any time from Profile → Settings → Your data. Deleting your account from Settings deactivates it immediately: you are signed out everywhere, your broker connections are disconnected and their stored keys are erased, and nobody can sign in to it again. Your trading records (trades, journal and attachments) are then kept in our database, not shown to anyone, for audit and record-keeping. If you want them permanently erased as well, write to [contact email — to be added] and we will erase them, subject to any record we are legally required to keep; backups age out on their normal rotation. You can disconnect a broker at any time from the Brokers page.

2.7 Your rights

Subject to applicable law, including India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may request access to, correction of, or erasure of your personal data, withdraw consent (which may mean closing your account), and raise a grievance. Grievance officer: [grievance officer name — to be added], [contact email — to be added]. We aim to respond within 30 days.

2.8 Security

Passwords are hashed, broker credentials are encrypted, connections use HTTPS, and every data request is scoped to your account. No system is perfectly secure; if we become aware of a breach affecting your data, we will notify you and the authorities as the law requires.

3. Risk disclosure

Trading in equities and especially in futures and options (F&O) involves substantial risk and can result in losses larger than you expect. SEBI studies have found that a large majority — around 9 in 10 — of individual F&O traders incurred net losses. Past performance, including your own historical grades and statistics, does not guarantee future results.

4. Market Summary disclosure

The Market Summary is general market commentary for education and review. Its directional view (Bullish / Bearish / Neutral), option-chain readings, strike-level commentary and AI desk view are produced automatically from public market data by fixed rules and an AI model. They are the same for every user and do not consider your capital, risk tolerance, positions or objectives.

  • It is not a recommendation, trading signal or research report, and TraderJourney is not a SEBI-registered research analyst or investment adviser.
  • Data may be delayed, incomplete or wrong, and the view can change at any time.
  • Options can lose their entire value quickly. Never trade only because of this page.
  • You alone are responsible for any trade you take.

5. Contact

Questions, data requests or complaints: [contact email — to be added].
